greatest hits

if you are a teacher (like i once was) i apologize, but isn't it time for school to start back up?
just sayin'.

p.s. i love my children.

this week was a gem.  the holidays are all wrapped up with a bow on top and the celebrating is almost over.  but not yet...

1) our annual fancy family girls holiday brunch was moved to the weekend after christmas due to scheduling conflicts.  it was a nice treat after the holiday.
we added a new girl to the mix this year.
look at this bug.  isn't she the cutest?

 preeeeety seeeester.
two of these lovely ladies were more cooperative with my picture taking than in years past.  merry christmas.
 round one.
 the finale.
nan and kami made a friend.
 the ladies.

2) the same night chris and i celebrated new years eve eve eve with a date night to see robert earl keen at bass hall in fort worth.  we ate a delicious dinner, caught up with one of my very first friends, slept late (nine o'clock y'all! woot!) in a hotel, and ate chips and salsa for breakfast.  it was a good day.
 3) usually we spend new years eve solo with the kids and the couch, but this year we had a little company.  i made my traditional new years eve dinner,
 boys built fires,

 babies ate burnt marshmallows,
 new babies were snuggled,
and we toasted to the new year (quietly, as there were sleeping children in every room).

4) we have recovered by playing with new toys, making art, and staying in our pajamas waaaaaay too long.  word.

looking forward to watching the aggies win the cotton bowl with my boys (whoop!) and celebrating marcy's birthday tomorrow night!

how was your week?  what are you looking forward to?

xoxoxo,
coco
