hi friends.
i have a favor to ask, please send a happy thought in this direction for the absolute dumbest craziest thing i have gotten myself into. unless cancelled, i am running a half-marathon on sunday in below freezing temperatures. i already struggle mentally with running that distance in decent weather, so i can only imagine my mental state with wet shoes and freezing winds blowing in my face. i'll be cussing, y'all. and like my friend sherry said, it'll be a story to tell.
but you know what? i have a roof over my head, a warm bed, and a healthy body to carry me that distance.
shut up, cortney.
anyway, i hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving. i know i did. here's a peek.
1) thanksgiving feasts with my boys.
here is crosby with his buds (that's his special lady-friend to his left) just before he refused to let go of mimi's hand to sing the prayer.
and here's big ben after eating the "friendship stew" he made with his class. presh.
2) this year we dragged (drug?) mimi and addy with us to see the trains at northpark.
3) and even if crosby wouldn't cooperate long enough to take a decent christmas card picture, we had a fantastic thanksgiving. there was an abundant amount of food, and the bourbon/wine flowed as well as the conversation and laughter. it was a good one, friends.
4) black friday was spent on a farm, where we "cut" our tree, took a hayride and went on a scavenger hunt. christmas traditions make my heart happy, not gonna lie.
5) joe turned three and had a party. these old friends picked right up where they left off. sweet babies.
happy birthday, joe!
my sweetheart jessica was in town and i got to squeeze her baby layne, who is just as smiley and sweet in person as she looks on instagram and facebook.
6) my elf (ben) and i decorated the house and tree and listened to christmas music and had big dumb grins on our faces because it was so much fun.
looking forward to visiting santa if the roads allow. how are you? what are you looking forward to?
love,
coco
